CF Markville Holiday AR Tree Experience 2021

Overview

CF wants to bring the magic of the Holidays to shopping centres by surprising guests with an Augmented Reality Experience. The campaign aimed to engage Cadillac Fairview mall visitors with a festive and interactive augmented reality (AR) experience with their mobile devices while support Markham Food Bank.

My Role as Brand Ambassador played a key role in:

  • User Observation: Observing user behavior and interaction with the AR experience.

  • User Feedback: Gathering feedback from participants about their experience, including any difficulties or areas for improvement.

  • Promoting Engagement: Encouraging mall visitors to participate and discover the AR tree experience.

Problems & Solutions

1) QR code had poor visibility or placement might have led to overlooked festive fun.

Solution: Make the QR code larger and more visually appealing.

2) The demo boasted a "share button," allowing users to flaunt their virtual ornaments. However, its absence in the final product created confusion and a missed opportunity for social media virality.

Solution: Guarantee the final product includes all functionalities showcased in the demo, especially the crucial "share button."

3) The occasional disappearance of other users' ornaments from the virtual tree might have left some feeling their creative contributions vanished into thin air. This could dampen the collaborative spirit of the experience.

Solution:

  • Investigate and address any technical glitches that cause other users' ornaments to disappear.

  • Implement visual cues to indicate when the network is loading other users' ornaments.

4) With only four ornament shapes and four colors to choose from, the creative canvas felt a bit limited.

Solution: Expanding the design options could spark even more user engagement.

5) The inability to swipe through the virtual tree environment felt restrictive.

Solution: Allowing users to navigate the tree more freely could enhance the immersive experience.

6) A misspelling on the website promoting the event. The city name "Markham" is misspelled as "Marham". It created a perception of unprofessionalism or lack of attention to detail.

Solution: Implement a system for double-checking spelling on all website content before publishing. This could involve a proofreading stage or utilizing spell-checking tools.

The tour aimed to connect with families and promote GoGo SqueeZ products through interactive experiences. The tour aim to attract families with young children and engage them in the GoGo SqueeZ booth. Inform families about the benefits of GoGo SqueeZ products while providing a fun and memorable experience. Represent GoGo SqueeZ's playful and convenient brand image through interactions and activities.

My Role as Brand Ambassador played a key role in:
